Ben and I drove down to St. Bruno yesterday afternoon to sign the house away. The buyers are a lovely young couple who are just starting out. The old Wark house is full of happy memories and good vibes to help them along.
I'm not sad to sell the house, because I'll be able to use the money to buy a home in Montreal for my own family, but I am a little blue that the house is gone.
I'm also relieved that I'm just about done with my famous tenants- but I'm sure that doesn't surprise my regular readers.
Next, I pick up the keys and perhaps even the missing rent, today. On Friday, I visit the notary to pick up the proceeds of the sale, and then go on a highly-restrained bill-paying spree [grin].
