I picked up a TV/HDTV/FM INDOOR ANTENNA from Radio Shack to improve the reception on the TV in the living room.
The antenna looked sufficiently space-agey, and had amplified gain pickup, so I thought it would be precisely what I needed to get those distant US stations to appear onscreen.
Alas, the antenna did nothing but muck up my Canadian reception. If you can't get the local CBC station on your set, there's clearly something wrong with the antenna.
So, back to the store for a refund!

Posted by: Bill at February 26, 2004 10:01 AMit certainly is similar in style to the antennae that actually work...so it's a good bet

Posted by: Bill at February 26, 2004 10:41 AMwe're currently using rabbit years, you know the ones your grandma used to use, and they seem to be ok. though they require a lot of fiddling if you want to get rid of the snow...
not sure what else to sugest... :o]
Posted by: munin at February 26, 2004 11:21 AMI want to be fiddle-free!
Posted by: steve at February 26, 2004 11:23 AM...well then may i suggest cable ;op
not sure which would be the best manual option for fiddle freeness.
Posted by: munin at February 26, 2004 12:03 PMYou cannot be both cable-free and fiddle-free. Take it from a long-time antenna user. BTW, are you tuning through your VCR?
right now, we're tuning through the TV only. I have successfully tuned through the VCR in the past.
the soon-to-be-ex-antenna failed on both TV and VCR.
No taping Survivor tonight for me!
