What a Morning!

Everything began well: Ben slept in 'till 5:30, and was perfectly chipper. I got up with him for the second feeding round at 6:30. We played, he drooled on my sleeve while I read the paper, and laughed when I tickled his tummy. Then, he fell asleep in his crib, and stayed asleep even when his soothing mobile stopped.

Then I tried to go to work. I needed three attempts, because I kept forgetting the little things. Like taking out the recycling. Or my bus pass (this I discovered only when the bus arrived at the stop).

And when I finally got to work, I saw that my new office plant, a low-light loving little striated thing, was droopy. It's now on the windowsill, trying to perk up, and I'm on my third cup of coffee.
