It’s a gloomy, rainy day, and I’m going to sleep. When I wake up, I`m going to worry about putting my house in order and recovering those lost files (if I can!)
Thank you for following my blogathon! I think I`ll do it again next year.

“That’s absolutely right, son.”

Naomi’s answer would have to be Marvel. Never underestimate the power of Firestar (because she’s cool) or Shadowcat (because she dances) on a little girl’s imagination.

Ben’s answer: DC! Spider-Man is a good jingle, but right now he’s hooked on the new Batman: The Brave and the Bold series, and he’s asking all sorts of questions about Blue Beetle, Plastic Man and Red Tornado.
The only Marvel mix-up occurs when Atom appears on-screen and Ben hollers “It’s Captain America!” The similarity in their blue cowls makes that a reasonable misunderstanding..

According the the preview list at Astro Books, the next comic books due for shipment are Toy Story: Mysterious Stranger #3 and Wednesday Comics #4. I know that I won’t be waiting long to read either of them.

I’ve hit the paranoid stage of the blogathon, where I start to drift off and then look alert and panic about making my post deadline.
A change in methodology is helping me focus – I’m not speed-writing my posts and just copying and pasting them at the right moment. It’s a consequence of the computer problems. Instead, I’m writing them live…which will explain all the weird typos. [grin]

Now that’s early in the morning, I have to say that the prospect of watching From Hell no longer appeals to me. It’s time for still lighter fare, which means a little dose of Superman to start the day off right.
Superman Returns is a fun bit of cinematic nostalgia for the Christopher Reeve/Richard Donner film, with a fine performance by Brandon Routh and an excellent bit of scene-chewing from Kevin Spacey. Kate Bosworth’s Lois Lane needs a smidge more gravitas and a touch less frazzle, but she had a goodly amount of spunk.
The only thing I didn’t like about the film was the hook. It’s inconceivable that Superman would just up and leave for five years on so flimsy an excuse, but, if I have to accept it, at least show us the space exploration footage that was shot!

Specifically, I need a Nerd-Herder like Chuck, to figure out how to extract all the files I backed up earlier today (well, yesterday, in fact). I can’t figure out why I only managed to recover one eighth the files in the backup folder!
And Chuck can’t swoop in and save the day, then maybe Sarah Walker could come along and give me the bad news. That would be just fine.

Tom Strong’s Terrific Tales TPB #2? This is the last of the America’s Best Comics trades on my radar. The Terrific Tales were an anthology series to fill in the gaps between the issues of the regular series, except those gaps got wider and wider over time, and so did the gaps between the Terrific Tales. I really enjoyed the stories of Young Tom Strong, and Tesla. the Art Adams Jonni Future stories were a little too goofy, even by ABC standards, but not every page of an anthology has to be gold.
Now that Alan Moore has renewed his grudge with DC/Wildstorm, I can only assume that the final volume won’t see the light of day…but I’m holding out hope.
